Shut Down MTF

Some of you may have visited a site of mine MTF. It was a forum devoted to well movies. I had, and still do have, big plans for the site.

I just took it down so I can work on restructuring it to make it more useful and to find a way to integrate the database with another forum I will be started with it tvtalkfest. I want to have a similar setup to IMDB in the way it has a database of all the actors and the movies they play too. I want it were if you click a link for them on one site, you will get results from both about shows and movies they have been in and then linked to threads about those shows or actors. It might simply be too much that I am wanting out of the sites. Hopefully it won’t be offline for long.

The Banners and Logo are done

And finally the new logo and banners are done for MovieTalkFest.com. I think they turned out excellent and again I can’t say enough how good the guys over at TheHiveDesigns are they did an excellent job, and got it done quickly as well. They come highly recommended from me. So with out further ado here are the new designs.

I feel like they turned out great, now to just get some use out of these new ad banners.

New Logo and Directories, Directories, Directories

So what have I been up to since the last post here, and how have things been going over at MTF? Well I’m glad you asked because that is exactly what I’m here to tell you today my friends.

Firstly I want to see a new logo is in the works for MTF, I have hired the very talented guys over at TheHiveDesigns to come up with something for me. They are doing a logo and a few banners for me. They do top notch work over there, today I was shown the mock up for the logo looking good, they will be working on the banners next. I must say I can’t wait to take a peak at them. Here is a little preview at what is coming:

Looks good eh? Should be going up live on the site soon, once the job is complete and they have been paid in full. Once I get the banners I plan on doing a little bit of advertising for the site, I already have a few sites in mind to do the advertising on.

Other than get some amazing graphics done for the site I have been busy submitting it tons of directories. Now when I say tons I do mean tons, right now It has been submitted to over 300 directories, and I plan on submitting it to some more over the next couple of weeks. Getting listed in good directories can help out your PR and get you some good links back to your site. Now will they get me a lot of new members to the site? Probably not, but if they help in the search engines that could bring in some new people. Which will make all the time spent on this worth its while. In addition to the directories I have purchased links from a few sites, at this time none of them have converted into members though, which is kind of depressing. Hopefully some of them will start to convert soon enough though.

Once I get the new logo/banners I will do another post and show off the new sweet designs.
